|  | | Safintra Mozambique is a steel and roofing solutions provider based in Maputo. Part of the Safal Group of companies, Safintra Mozambique is set to commence operations in the 3rd Quarter of 2008.
With operations in 10 countries, the SAFAL group has established itself as Africa’s premier supplier of steel roofing and allied building products. Safintra Mozambique is the newest member of the group and will be an integral part of achieving the group’s ambitions to provide shelter across Africa.
Safintra Mozambique is set to operate from a warehouse in Machava, in the Matola district on the outskirts of Maputo.
Safintra Mozambique will initially introduce Versatile – the leading metal tile roofing product produced by the SAFAL Group across Africa. This profile is a registered trademark of the group and is currently not available in Mozambique. Versatile has proved a firm favourite amongst customers in other regional markets.
By the end of 2008 Safintra will also be producing the IBR and corrugated profiles to supply to the local market. In the future, the company will introduce a range of innovative roofing and steel products in the Mozambique market, drawing upon the SAFAL group’s vast experience in this industry.
